Human Rights Treaty Bodies

Inter Committee meeting notice

last revised: 20 June 2007

The UN human rights treaty body system now includes 8 treaty bodies and 125 experts. They consider state reports and individual complaints on human rights abuses. In 2007 over 130 reports from 90 countries and more than 100 individual complaints will be reviewed. Every June representatives of the treaty bodies, including their chairpersons, meet together to discuss improvements and concerns.

Below you will find materials we presented to the 6th Inter Committee meeting which met in Geneva in June 2007. Please check back later as we will continue to upload other materials relevant to the treaty body system as time goes by.
