The new Human Rights Council is scheduled to convene its first session in Geneva on June 19, 2006. Its 47 members will be elected by the General Assembly on May 10, 2006. As more developments become known, we will post relevant materials at this site on the agendas, mandates and programs of work of the various human rights bodies affected by the new Council's creation.
